The "Qi" logo

The Wireless Power Consortium has chosen the logo “Qi” (pronounced “chee”, meaning “vital energy” in Asian philosophy - an intangible flow of power).
Qi is the sign of interoperability between power transmitters and power receivers. A Qi receiver will work with all Qi transmitters.
The Qi mark is simple but obvious. As many battery-powered devices are small nowadays, the symbol has to be noticeable even when it is used in small size on portable electronic items and packaging. Very soon, when consumers purchase new electronic gadgets, it will be a consideration factor whether they are able to Qi their devices conveniently. It will be no surprise to see Qi stations in the office, hotels, airports, railway stations as part of the normal infrastructure that offers wireless power charging service. Qi fits the modern lifestyle.
